Bihar School Holidays: Government Extends Winter Break Until January 11

 - Sakshi Post

Patna, Bihar: In response to the ongoing severe cold wave and dense fog, the District Magistrate of Patna, Chandrashekhar Singh, has announced the closure of all educational institutions, including private and government schools, pre-schools, and Anganwadi centers, for students up to class 8. This closure is effective until January 11.

For students in classes 9 to 12, adjustments have been made to the school timings, which will now be from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The decision to modify the schedule aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the harsh weather conditions.

The impact of the cold wave is not limited to Patna alone. Several other districts across Bihar, such as Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Siwan, Munger, Sheikhpura, Saran, Bettiah, and others, have also followed suit by keeping their schools closed until the specified date.

Authorities have taken this precautionary measure in light of the severe drop in temperatures and the presence of dense fog, which have raised concerns about the safety of school-going children.
