Amit Shah To Attend 29th Southern Zonal Council Meeting In Tirupati
NEW DELHI/TIRUPATI: Union Minister Amit Shah will chair the 29th Southern Zonal Council meeting which has been scheduled to be held in the temple town of Tirupati on November 14.
Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors of 8 States/UTs in the Southern Zone will participate along with their respective Chief Secretaries, Advisers. The meeting, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will be attended by governors, lieutenant governors, chief ministers, chief secretaries, advisors, and other senior officials from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andaman, and Nicobar, Lakshadweep. The issues between the respective states will be resolved and the assistance to be provided by the Centre will be discussed.
State Chief Secretary Dr. Sameer Sharma on Thursday directed the authorities to make all arrangements and ensure the meeting goes well successfully. Arrangements for the Zonal Council meeting were reviewed by the Secretaries of various departments, the TTD EO, Chittoor District Collector, District SP, and other officials, in a virtual manner from the Secretariat on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary Poonam Malakondaiah, LA Premachandra Reddy, Health Secretary Anil Singhal, Principal Secretary ( Land) V. Usha Rani, Irrigation Secretary Shyamala Rao, P. Balakrishnamacharya, and other officials.
