Goa Polls: Congress Second List - Sakshi Post

Congress has released its second list of candidates for the Goa elections.

New Delhi: The Congress announced its second list of candidates for the Goa assembly elections on Sunday.

Seven candidates have been announced for the single-phase elections for the 40-member state assembly on February 14.

According to an announcement, the lists of candidates were finalised during a meeting of the Congress's national election committee, which was led by party president Sonia Gandhi.

Jitendra Gaonkar, Rodolf Louis Fernandes, Rajesh Faldessai, Manisha Shenvi Usgaonkar, Viriato Fernandes, Olencio Simoes, and Avertano Furtado are among the applicants on this list.

The names of eight candidates for the elections were announced by Congress last month.

The results, along with those of four other poll-bound states — Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Manipur — will be announced on March 10.
