SYNOPSIS

This Prabhudheva directorial is a typical Salman Khan movie. Packed with action, swag, hardcore fight scenes, catchphrase and entertaining dance moves, Radhe is all and all, a quintessential Salman movie.

STORY

Radhe (Salman Khan), a suspended cop is known for his 97 encounters and 23 transfers. To free the Mumbai youth from drug abuse, this police officer is called back for the mission of his life. It will not be a cakewalk as Radhe is facing dangerous fugitive Rana (Randeep Hooda). A typical villain with a vision to rule over Mumbai.

Our hero is now on a ‘Swachh Bharat’ mission. He will not stop until he has purged the drug mafia and dealers from Mumbai city.

REVIEW

This movie is an amalgamation of all Salman films. Bhai is back with a Bollywood entertainer-action packed film. Salman’s character is reminiscent of his previous roles. The storyline of the movie is overall a good one, but the subplots can be distracting at times. The film loses track of the plot at times but the action scenes bring it back on track. The fight scenes are worth watching.

Unfortunately for Diya (Disha Patani), it is exactly what you expect. She doesn’t have much to do apart from dressing well and grooving to some dance numbers. The romance and flirting scenes between Radhe and Diya are much too obvious. They do not add anything to the film but are there for audiences’ entertainment; which is exactly what most such scenes in Bollywood films do.

Songs like Zoom Zoom, the title track and Dil De Diya are good to dance numbers that will make you tap your feet as well. But the highlight of this film has to be its villain.

Randeep Hooda takes the limelight in this one as once again this actor shines with his balanced acting. Although Hooda’s dressing and the overall look is a throwback to 70s and 80s Bollywood villains, he manages to maintain the charm and the wicked swag. The clash scenes between Khan and Hooda are the best part of this film.

Khan’s fans are going to be really happy with this one. Given the COVID situation, you cannot watch Radhe on the big screen, but most fans are happy and content with the fact that this year they received their Eid gift from Bhaijaan.
