On Friday, December 10, in Oslo, Norway, journalist and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize alongside Russian journalist Dmitry Muratov. Ressa is the first Filipino to get the honour, and has become an international symbol of press freedom and democracy.
