TSRTC New Initiative to Ensure Women Safety at Night

 - Sakshi Post

The Telangana government has decided to take a new initiative for women's safety during the night in the city. As a step in this direction, the TSRTC has issued orders to all the bus drivers and conductors to stop the bus anywhere on the request of women after 7.30 PM.

It is stated that women can board a bus or get down anywhere on the route and not necessarily at bus stops. This is being first implemented in the Greater Hyderabad zone for now.

This decision comes as part of the measures to provide safe bus travel for women and better facilities to passengers at night. If the bus driver or conductor does not follow the rules, passengers can contact the depot manager and lodge a complaint. The TSRTC officials have been instructed to take strict action at the earliest.
