 - Sakshi Post

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference on Tuesday to know how the states were handling the COVID-19 unlock situation. All the Chief Ministers and the Lieutenant Governors in the country attended the video conference. Modi discussed the methods to distribute vaccine to states and administer it to the people.

Speaking on this, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) said that the government was prepared to provide scientifically approved coronavirus vaccine to the people. But, before distributing we have to check whether it has any side effects. He said the government was ready to distribute the vaccine to people on a priority basis. The authorities have already prepared the plan, said KCR adding,  whether the vaccine gives any side effects especially in different weather and climatic conditions in the country.

Even the coronavirus did not affect the country in the same way it affected different places. Let the Centre send the vaccine to the states, which can be administered on some people. Later, we can assess the situation, said KCR. The Telangana CM instructed the officials to create required infrastructure facilities and place enough cold storage facilities across the state.

KCR said, the vaccine should be given first to the Covid-19 frontline warriors like doctors, police and other departments. People above 60 years and those suffering from the disease too will be given priority. In this virtual meeting, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, CMO Principal Secretary S Narsing Rao, Principal Secretary for Medical and Health Murtuza Rizvi and others participated.
