Upendra Gadi Adda stars young hero Kancharla Upendra in the lead. The mass entertainer has Savitri Krishna in a key role. Directed by Aryan Subhan SK, this film is produced by SSLS Creations. Produced by Kancharla Atchutarao, the film was released in theatres today. Here is our review:

Story: Upendra (Kancharla Upendra) is a slum boy from Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. He wants to make easy money and settle down even though he is just a graduate. In his quest for wealth, he takes a loan to marry a rich woman.

He wanders around pubs. Savitri (Savitri Krishna) is introduced as a lead character. Thinking that she is a rich woman, he pretends to be rich too. He woos her in the name of love.

But he wants to tell her the truth about himself that he is not rich but is a slum dweller. Did Savitri marry that Basti boy? What is her actual identity? Are they married? That's what the rest of the film is about.

While there are elements of mass entertainment that appeal to the youth, this film also has a relatable message meant both for kids and their parents.

These days, social media is affecting society so much. It is known what kind of mishaps are happening due to it. Based on this reality, the director weaves a nice story here.

Social media has been used to hide identities, triggering many scams. In today's times, the place of the smartphone and how it can endanger the gullible has been shown with remarkable dramatization and finesse.

Ramu Addanki's music and Ravindra Sun's cinematography are solid. Menaga Srinivas Rao's editing is another plus.

Kancharla Upendra acted very well as a fresher. He danced and fought well, impressing the masses. He acted well in both variations, both as a basti fellow and a rich kid.

Savitri Krishna who acted opposite Upendra also did well. She is pleasing. The Jabardasth Batch are fun to watch. Balagam fame Muralidhar Goud and actress Prabhavathi impressed as the hero's parents.

As a social media influencer, Kireeti Damaraju's role as an imposter is good. Sandhya Janak and Bus Stop Koteswara Rao as the heroine's parents did justice to their roles.

The story is written by the director himself.  The role of the hero has been shaped in all kinds of ways to show a new angle and character to the mass audience.

The music is appealing to the masses. The cinematography is rich. The hero and heroines have been shown well. Editing is fine, but it should have been more gripping.

Producer Kancharla Achyuta Rao has made the film very high without compromising anywhere.
