Tollywood actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has recycled her wedding gown into a chic new outfit to promote sustainability. Designer Kresha Bajaj, who originally created the wedding dress, redesigned it into an edgy bodycon dress for the actress.

Samantha expressed the deep sentimental value of the repurposed gown that she wore at the Elle Sustainability Awards. "This dress has always been special, but now it symbolizes much more. We can't ignore sustainability anymore. It's not just a choice, it's a must for our planet. The dress I'm wearing today has been redesigned by the talented @kreshabajajofficial. Repurposing old clothes is just one of the steps I'm taking towards a more sustainable lifestyle. Every little effort counts. Let's all do our part. Thank you for your support," she shared, embodying the essence of sustainability.

This recycling project comes after Kresha Bajaj crafted the actress's wedding ensemble when she married actor Naga Chaitanya in 2017. Bajaj expressed gratitude for the opportunity to "create a new memory and tell another story" with Samantha. She celebrated the recycled dress as a symbol of new beginnings and thanked Samantha in an Instagram post.

Samantha's wedding gown carried memories from her marriage to Naga Chaitanya, which began with their on-screen chemistry in films like Ye Maya Chesave and Manam. After convincing their families, the couple tied the knot in 2017, with Samantha donning the now-recycled white gown. Alas, their fairy tale wedding ended in a divorce in 2021.
