Producers of hit film Manjummel Boys in Trouble

 - Sakshi Post

Manjummel Boys, a survival thriller film, is one of the Malayalam blockbusters in recent days. The film continues to make money at the box office. Directed by Chidambaram and made with a shoe-string budget, this adventurous film was also dubbed and released for Telugu audience.

Days after the film became a hit, the producers are now facing allegations of cheating and breach of promise. Following a petition by Siraj Valiyathara Hameed, the Ernakulam First Class Magistrate Court directed the Maradu police in Kerala to register a case against the producers of the movie.

In his petition, Siraj claimed that he had invested Rs 7 crore in the project with the promise of a 40 percent share of profits. He alleged that Parava Films and its partner Shawn Antony breached the promise by not giving promised share of the profits. Meanwhile, the police have booked a case against Antony, and partners of Parava Films Soubin Shahir and Babu Shahir.

Manjummel Boys is a story about rescuing a friend who has accidentally fallen into a 150-ft-deep cave in Kodaikanal. While the film has impressed movie critics, many common viewers have been left wondering how a seemingly straightforward "save-the-friend" drama could have amassed such a massive box office collection.
