Mrunal Thakur once said this is my ‘first and last’ Telugu film

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s Family Star is set to release tomorrow, April 5. This is her third Telugu movie after her two previous blockbusters Nani-starrer ‘Hi Nanna’ (2023) and Dulquer Salmaan-starrer ‘Sita Ramam’ (2022). 

As part of the Family Star promotions, Mrunal Thakur gave an interview to an entertainment YouTube channel. During an interview, she said something which has shocked moviegoers in general and fans in particular. 

Sharing her experience of working in a Telugu film (Sita Ramam), Mrunal said the shooting was a ‘daunting’ task as she is familiar with the language. The actress revealed that she even broke down during the shoot of Sita Ramam. 

In Sita Ramam, Mrunal was paired opposite Dulquer Salmaan. The movie-goers loved the pair and their on-screen chemistry in the love saga. She spoke highly about her co-actor and called Salman a ‘God’s child’. Speaking about her challenges of working in a Telugu film, Mrunal said she told Dulquer that ‘Sita Ramam’ was her first and last film in Telugu. “I will not do any Telugu film,” she said. To which, Dulquer casually replied, “We’ll see”. 

Mrunal’s filmography in Telugu shows that she’s shed all the inhibitions about the language and it appears that she’s started feeling more comfortable working in Tollywood now.
