Manchu Manoj Says Sorry to Media

December 11, Hyderabad: A day after Mohan Babu has beaten up a TV reporter in a heated situation, son-actor Manchu Manoj has expressed regret over the recent incident involving his father, senior actor Mohan Babu, and the media. He stated that it was deeply distressing to see his father attack the media, and on his father's behalf, Manoj offered his apologies to the journalists affected by the incident. He further voiced his strong condemnation of the attack on the journalists, who had staged a protest in response to Mohan Babu's actions.

Manoj, while addressing the situation, said, “It is horrific that media friends who came for me were attacked. I stand in support of the journalists who are protesting.” He also rejected the accusations made by his father against him, asserting that they were baseless and wrong.

Manoj clarified that he had never fought over property, emphasizing his independence: “I have never fought for assets. I stand on my own feet.” He also responded to the allegations that he was a slave to alcohol, calling them false. Furthermore, Manoj opened up about the distress within his family, stating, “My father is a god to me, but the man I see now is not the same person. He is calling us with a gun on his shoulder. He has attacked our relatives, and even dragged my wife and seven-month-old daughter into this conflict.” He expressed his sorrow at the toll this has taken on his mother, adding that she has been suffering amid these disputes. “I have been patient all this time, but I can no longer stay silent. What is the issue? I will hold a press conference this evening (December 11) and reveal everything,” Manoj said.

The family conflict reached a boiling point on Tuesday, with tensions escalating at Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalpalli. The situation turned into a high-drama standoff, with Mohan Babu’s sons, Vishnu and Manoj, bringing in their bouncers to confront each other. The media, who were present to cover the incident, were attacked by Mohan Babu, leading the journalists to stage a protest demanding an apology.
