The Movie Artist Association (MAA) election nomination process has commenced on Monday with actor Prakash Raj and his panel members filing their nominations.
Prakash Raj and his team submitted their nomination papers to Election Officer Krishnamohan at the MAA office. It is known that there are three contenders for the MAA presidential post, where Prakash Raj, CVL Narasimha Rao and Manchu Vishnu are going to be competing for the coveted post.
Meanwhile, actor-lawyer CVL Narasimha Rao too submitted his nomination papers to the election official.
Manchu Vishnu and his team will file nomination papers on Tuesday (September 28) afternoon.
MAA 2021 polling schedule
- Nominations will be accepted until the 29th of this month and the scrutiny will be on the 30th.
- Nominations can be withdrawn between October 1-2.
- Polling for MAA elections will take place on October 10 and the results will be announced on the same day.

Speaking to the media after filing his papers Prakash Raj said that his team would be working for the causes in the film industry and firmly stated that no political intervention was required for MAA polls. The actor appealed for the polls to be conducted in a democratic process. He also said that the election manifesto will be released on October 3rd.
