Kollywood Actor and Comedian Vivek Suffers Heart Attack

CHENNAI: Noted Tamil actor and comedian Vivek has suffered a heart attack on Friday and his condition is stated to be critical. As per reports he has been admitted to SIMS Hospital in Chennai after he complained of chest pain. He has been put under ECMO. The hospital hasn’t released any statement on the actor’s health status as yet.

The 59-year-old actor on Thursday was declared as the state’s ambassador for creating public health messages. He took the vaccine in the Government Omandurar Hospital on April 15 and urged many others to come forward to take the vaccine.

He had said, “I want to make a point that the Covid-19 vaccine is safe. It doesn’t mean we will not get Covid-19 if we get vaccinated. We should be careful. The vaccine assures that we don’t get affected severely.”

Vivek was last seen in Dharala Prabhu, which was the Tamil remake of the Hindi film Vicky Donor. And he is also part of director Shankar’s upcoming film Indian 2, which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
