The renowned actor Kang Ki Young has gained attention due to his striking transformation in recent images from a forthcoming project.

The actor has consistently received positive feedback from netizens for his parts since making his acting debut in 2012. Despite never playing the protagonist, Kang Ki Young consistently presented a friendly and lovable personality in all of the K-Dramas and films for which he is most known.

Despite not playing the main character, the actor became well-known for his exceptional skills and for just being one of the show's stars.

However, it appears as though the skilled actor has undergone a total transformation to get ready for starring in the second season of The Uncanny Counter.

In contrast to his typical clean-cut appearance and smart outfit for his most important roles, the actor appears to be almost unrecognisable in the new photos.

Kang Ki Young will play Pil Gwang, one of the villains that the Counter Squad has to deal with in the upcoming season. It implies that the actor needs a completely new appearance, and it more than met expectations.

The pictures shared by tvN reveal a completely different side of Kang Ki Young because the actor now has long hair cut in a mullet and has swapped the well-tailored suits for those of pinstripes, which are typically worn by "bad guys."

In particular, many couldn’t hide their excitement at finally seeing Kang Ki Young as a villain, with some even joking that he was in his “Loki” era.
