"It's Private, Not Secret": Siddharth Breaks Silence on Engagement to Aditi Rao Hydari

In a recent event, actor Siddharth addressed the speculation surrounding his engagement to fellow actor Aditi Rao Hydari. Contrary to popular opinion, Siddharth revealed that their engagement was not a secret affair.

Speaking at the Galatta awards ceremony in Tamil, Siddharth clarified, "Several people said we did it secretly. Doing something privately with family is different from doing it secretly. Those we didn't invite are calling it a secret, but it was a private event for those we invited."

The actor explained that the timing of the engagement was not entirely up to him, as it depended on the elders in their lives. "This isn't like picking a shooting date that I can choose. It's a date for life. So, when they say it, it will happen naturally," he said.

When asked about how long it took Aditi to accept his proposal, Siddharth responded, "We shouldn't ask how long it took. The outcome should be a simple yes or no. I'll find out if it's a pass or fail. I never saw my score. I was nervous about whether it would be a yes or no, and my name was on the pass list."

After much speculation and reports about their marriage, Siddharth and Aditi publicly confirmed their engagement by posting a photo of themselves flaunting their rings on social media.

On the work front, Siddharth was recently seen in the acclaimed film Chhithha, while Aditi Rao Hydari will soon be seen in the Netflix series Heeramandi.
