Here's Why Chiranjeevi's On-Set Humiliation Led to Superstardom
At a recent event in Hyderabad on Sunday, March 31, legendary actor Chiranjeevi opened up about a humiliating experience early in his career. He revealed this incident during a conversation with Vijay Deverakonda.
Chiranjeevi recalled working as a junior artist on the film 'Nyayam Kavali' alongside prominent actors like Jagayya and Sarada. One day on set, he was yelled at and mocked with the question, "Do you think you're a superstar?"
"I worked with big actors like Jagayya and Sarada, and many junior artists too. One day, I got yelled at on set. They said, 'Do you think you're a superstar?' It made me feel humiliated. It wasn't right how they spoke to me," he said.
The acclaimed actor admitted he felt extremely humiliated by this treatment. However, instead of letting it discourage him, Chiranjeevi used it as motivation. "But that day, I made up my mind to become a superstar. I turned that incident into motivation for my ambition. I've worked really hard to reach where I am today," he added.
Chiranjeevi encouraged Vijay Deverakonda to maintain his confident attitude, which he admired. He first noticed Deverakonda during promotions for 'Arjun Reddy' and loved his brash on-screen persona. "Keep the attitude alive; it's your asset," Chiranjeevi advised. "It's important to know your strengths. That's what kept me successful all these years," he added.
