BTS Suga’s Solo Album ‘D-Day’ tops Billboard Chart
Min Yoon-Gi aka Suga from BTS, not only tied the record for the highest charting K-pop solo artist on the Billboard 200, he also made history by becoming the first Korean solo artist to ever have two albums chart in the top 20.
Released under the stage name Agust D, BTS Suga's new solo album "D-DAY" and its first single "Haegeum" achieved impressive beginnings on a number of Billboard charts for the week of May 6.
Suga has previously ruled the Rap Digital Song Sales ranking. This week is no exception. His solo song "Daechwita" brought him to the top of the charts for the first time in 2020. In the following year, he scored another No. 1 with his Juice WRLD-produced song "Girl of My Dreams."
Suga is also the first K-pop performer to ever debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart. "D-DAY" debuted at No. 1 this week on four different Billboard charts, including the Top Rap Albums list, World Albums chart, Top Album Sales chart, and Top Current Album Sales chart.
Suga topped seven separate Billboard charts this week in total, with "Haegeum" debuting at the top of three different charts.
