BTS Suga Calls the Grammy Awards ‘Local’
The members of BTS are RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The band has received five Grammy Award nominations, but they have never taken home a trophy.
Suga, a member of BTS who is presently touring with his August D World Tour, made fun of the Grammy Awards. Suga described the coveted music industry awards as "local" while speaking with the media and cited Korean director Bong Joon Ho. Suga, who is renowned for being honest, said the above-mentioned thing when asked about the Grammys while on the tour.
For those who don't know, the movie "Parasite" by Bong Joon Ho won an Oscar in 2020. The director had once described the awards as "very local" during a media appearance. Suga said to the LA Times about the Grammys, asking, "Isn't that a local thing?" Bong Joon Ho's remarks were also mentioned in the LA Times article.
BTS followers, known as the army, posted their reactions to Suga's response as soon as it became popular on social media. "Savage from day 1!" a person commented. Gotta adore it. Another said, "Yes, my baby!"
