BTS Are The First One To Make It To Billboard 200 Charts With Seven #1 Tracks
Another reason to celebrate for ARMYs. On June 13, 2023, K-pop giants BTS commemorated their ten-year anniversary, and the fanbase was busy celebrating. However, Take Two, BTS' latest single, arrived at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 global charts, giving the group two new records.
BTS has taken a break from engaging in group activities. While the other members are following their own endeavours before enlisting this year, two members, Jin and J-Hope, are completing their required military service. The group recently released a digital single entitled Take Two in celebration of their tenth anniversary. Take Two, the group's most recent hit, arrived at No. 1 on Billboard's global charts.
Take Two is a song that was released in recognition of the 10th anniversary that broke the record for the seventh leader on each list. Between June 9 and June 15, the song generated 60.2 million streams and 64,000 sales globally, making it to the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart. By accomplishing this, BTS becomes the first artist to have a new song enter the chart at No. 1 every year since the chart's launch in 2020.
Dynamite, Life Goes On, Butter, Permission to Dance, and My Universe are the five songs that have previously topped the Billboard charts. While Yet To Come topped the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat) topped the Billboard Global 200 chart.
With this achievement, BTS has become the first artist to have a new song debut at No. 1 on the Global 200 chart each year since Billboard first started the chart in 2020.
