Baahubali: Latest Update from SS Rajamouli

Fans of the blockbuster Baahubali films have a new reason to rejoice. Renowned director SS Rajamouli has announced an animated series titled "Baahubali: Crown of Blood," promising an epic return to the world of Mahishmati.

While fans eagerly awaited updates on Rajamouli's next live-action film with Mahesh Babu, the director surprised them with news of the animated Baahubali series. Keeping details under wraps, Rajamouli teased the series' thrilling narrative by stating, "When the people of Mahishmati chant his name, no force in the universe can stop him from returning."

This isn't the first animated project for the Baahubali franchise. The series "Baahubali: The Lost Legends" (5 seasons) is already streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Rajamouli confirmed that the trailer for "Baahubali: Crown of Blood" will be released soon, which is generating anticipation among fans. Reports suggest that the series will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar in mid-May.

Initially, there were plans for a live-action web series titled "Baahubali: Before the Beginning," based on the book "The Rise of Sivagami" by Anand Neelakantan. However, after shooting a few episodes, Netflix halted the project.
