Allari Naresh's Flop Show: Check Out BO Collections

 - Sakshi Post

Allari Naresh, whose forte is a comedy, seems to be losing his sheen. His latest offering "Aa Okkati Adakku," a hyped-up comic film, has bitten the dust at the Box Office. The film's dismal collections at the box office have not just incurred hefty losses to those who were involved in its business but are also expected to affect Naresh's market.

According to trade reports, 'Aa Okkati Adakku', garnered sub-optimal collections of a meagre Rs 3 crores in 3 days while also losing traction in many centres. A distributor ridiculed the movie, particularly criticizing Naresh's one-liners as "stale and insipid." The comedy displayed barely met the reputation Allari Naresh previously held, and the movie overall was a letdown in terms of comedy.

Speculations about how the ongoing heatwave and IPL matches have affected the box office collections were dismissed, with the distributor attributing the poor performance solely to the poorly written screenplay.

A potentially more profitable option for Allari Naresh could be to create a sequel to the highest-grossing film of his career, "Sudigadu," with the potential to compensate for his losses. Only a director with the potential to handle comedy well could justify Naresh continuing in the same genre.
