Tollywood Drugs Case: Ravi Teja, Driver Srinivas Appear before ED
HYDERABAD: As part of the ongoing money laundering probe in connection with drugs case that was busted in the city in 2017, Telugu actor Ravi Teja along with his driver Srinivas appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday. They both were was questioned for over six hours. Another accused named Zeeshan who was arrested in 2017 for supplying cocaine to celebrities was also questioned today along with Ravi Teja.
The names of ten Tollywood personalities came out during the interrogation of persons include Kelvin Mascrenahas arrested in connection with the racket which was into supplying high-end drugs such as lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and methylenedioxy- methamphetamine (MDMA) to school children, Tollywood celebrities, and others. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Prohibition and Excise department, had also probed the alleged drug links with Tollywood and had then questioned actors and directors besides the driver of Ravi Teja.
There are allegations that drugs were allegedly supplied to Ravi Teja through his driver Srinivas. In this context, the ED is mainly likely to focus on his transactions, contacts with F-Club which was run by actor Navdeep, foreign tours, and relationship with Kelvin will be the main questions. The questioning is likely to continue till evening. Whether Kelvin will be called for questioning again is yet to be known.
Director Puri Jagannadh, his associate and actress Charmee Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, Nandu, and Rana Daggubati have appeared so far, before the central agency. Kelvin was interrogated for the second time on Wednesday where he was questioned along with Rana Daggubati about the F-Club links, the parties conducted there, and Kelvin’s role in the party. The ED also verified banks statements of Rana for the period 2015-2017.
