Raidurgam: Girl Working For UN, Friends Attacked at Rooftop Pub by Youth In Brawl

HYDERABAD: A girl and her friends were injured after they were attacked in a brawl at a rooftop bar in ITC Kohenur hotel in Raidurgam police station limits on Sunday night in the city.

As per reports in Sakshi, one of the girls was said to be working for the United Nations along with her friends went to the pub where she came across one of her friends named Mayank. The youth is said to have asked for a mobile number to which she refused. The girl was pestered for her number, that’s when her male friend intervened and objected to this and picked up an argument with him.

Mayank and a group of eight others attacked the girl and her group of friends with alcohol bottles injuring them. They are said to have allegedly threatened to rape her. When the pub staff intervened the boys threatened them with dire consequences.

The girls went to a local hospital for first aid and lodged a complaint against them with the Raidurgam police. They demanded that the CCTV footage from the pub be released. Meanwhile, the Raiduragam Police have booked a case and are investigating.
