Over 6k Cases Again, India's COVID-19 Tally Mounts To 1,45,380
NEW DELHI: India's coronavirus graph has shown no indication of dip, as cases continue to surge across the nation. Infact in the last 15 days the graph has steadily climbed compared to first 100 days.
A total of 6,535 fresh positive cases were reported taking the country's tally to 1,45,380. 146 new fatalities were also registered taking the death toll to 4,167.
Of the total cases so far 80,722 are active, while 60,490 people have been cured and discharged so far. In the past 24 hours at least 2,769 people have also been recovered.nana
The graph also showed a week of continued spurt in the cases close to 6,000-mark. On Monday (6,977), Sunday (6,767), Saturday (6,654), Friday (6,088) and Thursday (5,614).
Maharashtra remained the most affected state having 36 percent of the total cases in India. It has reported 52,667 cases and 1,695 fatalities, followed by Tamil Nadu with 17,082 cases and Gujarat with 14,460 cases.
Andhra Pradesh reported 287 new cases pushing the state's tally to 3,110 while Telangana reported 66 new cases taking the tally to 1,920, according to the ministry's latest update at 8 am.

Reportedly, India is now among the ten countries worst hit by the pandemic that has over 5 million cases worldwide.
