Guntur Rural: Thanks to DISHA App, Two Students Rescued in Just 8 Minutes

GUNTUR RURAL: Thanks to the DISHA App,two students in Guntur district were saved from the clutches of eve-teasers within eight minutes of pressing the SOS button. According to the Narasaraopet Rural Police, two young women from Gogulapadu village, Rogicharla mandal had gone to Narasaraopet. When they were returning on Sunday evening the tyre of their two-wheeler was punctured on the outskirts of Ikkurru village. As they waited for help, two men who were passing by started harassing them and behaving in an objectionable manner with them.

One of them who had earlier downloaded the DISHA App on her phone immediately pressed the SOS button for help. Upon receiving the SOS, Narasaraopet Rural Sub Inspector Srihari reached the spot within eight minutes and apprehended the youth. They were identified as Adinarayana and Bujji, both hailing from Linganguntla village who work as delivery boys for Flipkart and Amazon respectively.

Rompicharla SI Hazratayya said that their parents were called and both the boys were given counseling. Guntur Rural SP Vishal Gunni, DSP Vijayabhaskar, and CI Achayya appreciated Rural SI Srihari for responding immediately and saving the students.
