The duplicate spare parts bearing fake TVS and Honda stickers and logos are being manufactured and sold in the national Capital, an official said on Tuesday.

According to the FIR, accessed by IANS, the complainant said that Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. and TVS Motor Company Ltd’s products like auto parts, filters, pumps, etc. of different models are being manufactured and sold in the market.

“It has recently come to our notice that some unscrupulous persons/firms are indulging in manufacturing, printing, marketing, distributing, stocking, selling spurious/duplicate of the said brands which clearly amounts to falsifying the complainant company's trademark,” reads the FIR.

“As a result, the general public is being cheated, the government is losing on revenue and the image of the company is also being tarnished.

“As per our information Subhash Mohalla Karol Bagh is indulging in the nefarious activities of manufacturing, stocking, printing and the sale of duplicate products such as brake pedal shoe, clutch assembly, clutch cover, air filter, chain case, chain cover, control cables (all types) etc,” the complainant alleged.

“On the ground floor and first floor of the warehouse, there were counterfeit stickers of Honda, TVS, and Bajaj Bullet motorcycles stuck on plastic sheets in boxes. On the second floor, there were four printers and sticker rolls placed alongside two laptops. These items were being used to create counterfeit stickers for spare parts of Honda, TVS, and Bajaj motorcycles,” said the officer.

“Additionally, there was a weight machine on the first floor. Upon checking, it was found that the goods present there were counterfeit products,” said the officer, adding that further investigation is going on.
