No Change in APPSC Group 2 Recruitment Exam

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group 2 Services examination is scheduled to be held on February 25, 2024 and State Bank of India Probationary Officers main examination is also being conducted on the same day. A  section of the media tried to make a hue and cry saying several unemployed youth have been eagerly waiting for job opportunities for the past four years and the clash of exam dates may be a blow to their dreams. However, it was revealed that only 550 candidates are appearing for both the exams. 

APPSC has set up 1,327 examination centres across 24 districts for the Group 2 services examination. Nearly, 4.30 lakh candidates are appearing for the recruitment examination and majority of them have downloaded their hall tickets. The Group 2 examination will be conducted on February 25, 2024, Sunday from 10.30 am to 1 pm (General studies and Mental ability).

Under the YSRCP government, the Commission released 31 job notifications from 2019 to 2023. The recruitment examinations were conducted smoothly by the APPSC without facing any legal trouble. So far, the Commission has filled nearly 6,300 posts. In addition to this, the YS Jagan government introduced the Gram/Ward Secretariat system which benefited over 1.34 lakh unemployed youth.
