Baby John Box Office Day 9: Removed from Many Theaters, Loses 2500 Shows as Pushpa 2 and Mufasa Lead

Varun Dhawan’s latest film, Baby John, released on Christmas, had a decent opening day with Rs 11 crore, helped by the holiday and advance bookings. The film, which was shown in over 3500 screens, initially seemed promising but faced a sharp decline in box office numbers from Day 2.

As of Day 9, Baby John has earned Rs 35.58 crore in India, including Thursday morning’s earnings. However, its collections dropped in the following days. On Wednesday (Day 8), the film made Rs 2.75 crore, and on Tuesday (December 31), it earned Rs 2.15 crore. Despite the New Year holiday, the film didn’t see a significant boost. By Thursday afternoon, the collection stood at just Rs 18 lakh.

Due to the poor box office performance and reduced demand, Baby John has been removed from many single-screen theatres and the number of shows has been reduced. Meanwhile, other films like Pushpa 2 continue to dominate, and even Mufasa: The Lion King is performing better, with a total of Rs 122.1 crore so far.

While Pushpa 2 is expected to cross Rs 1800 crore worldwide soon, Baby John has failed to make a significant impact. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabi alongside Varun Dhawan.

Baby John’s worldwide collection is expected to reach around Rs 60 crore by the end of its run.
