Guntur: YSRCP regional coordinator YV Subba Reddy asserted that the ruling party has the support of its people. He attributed the people’s support to the people-friendly schemes being undertaken by the YS Jagan government.

“The people are happy with the YSRCP government as the current dispensation has given top priorities to their needs. Unable to digest the fact that YSRCP is receiving people’s support across the state. desperate yellow media is trying to mislead the people with malicious reports. I visit Hyderabad often and met Vijayamma once after her return from the US and the yellow media is writing half-truths about my visit,” YV Subba Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday.

Three years ago, YS Sharmila floated the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) and now the reports suggest that she is planning to merge her party with the Congress. We won’t object even if she joins the Congress party and campaigns on its behalf in the forthcoming Assembly elections because the YSRCP enjoys the full support of the people of the state.

The YSRCP leader further said the party is leaving no stone unturned to win all the 175 assembly seats in the elections.

“The party will do justice with the members during the ticket distribution. We will try to accommodate them in other areas if they succeed in getting a renomination or nomination for the polls,” Reddy informed.

Subba Reddy also said that the party members may have their own preferences for the assembly seats. Anakapalle assembly segment has its own unique political features. He added that the party leadership asked Dadi Veerabadhra Rao to have patience as the party is looking into the probable candidates for the constituency but he didn’t listen to the leadership and resigned from the party. The party members should expect some changes in the assembly segments in the North Andhra region, he added.
