YSRCP Worker Hacked to Death in Palnadu, Macherla MLA Seeks Justice for Victim’s Kin

Palnadu: A YSRCP worker was allegedly hacked to death by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers at Janga Maheswaram village here on Monday. The deceased identified as Kunireddy Krishna Reddy was killed using sharp weapons by the assailants. 

Sources said Krishna Reddy was actively working for YSRCP in Janga Maheswaram village and his activism did not go down well with the supporters from the rival party who devised a plan to eliminate him. The deceased was waylaid and attacked by five assailants on Monday night while he was returning home after finishing his work at a local wine shop. 

The attackers first threw chilli powder in the eyes of Krishna Reddy, who was going home on a bike, and stabbed him multiple times until he died on the spot. 

As the village comes under faction-ridden area, a police picket has been posted in Janga Maheswaram. The police have registered a case and have formed three special teams to hunt down the perpetrators. 

Macherla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy offered his condolences to the family members of the slain party worker and said the perpetrators will be brought to book and strictest action will be taken against them. He stated that the Palnadu Superintendent of Police (SP) has been asked to ensure justice to the victim’s family members.\
