In a bold and most candid interview with Times Now's Navika Kumar, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy exuded confidence that his party, YSRCP, will sweep the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections. Tearing into the opposition alliance, he dismissed their challenge and predicted an emphatic victory for his party.

"WE WILL SWEEP THIS ELECTION!"

CM Jagan proclaimed with absolute certainty that YSRCP will secure a resounding mandate from the people of Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister emphasized that in a democracy, it is a "bipolar" contest, where it is "one vs. many." He stated, "I have never asked for any alliance, let alone with BJP." In our state, both national leaders are insignificant, whether they belong to the BJP or Congress. "It's only between the regional parties that we fight it out."

CM Jagan claimed that YSRCP has delivered great governance, and if that's the case, the party is better off contesting alone. He said, "We do politics; we need to do it the right way." Credibility, I believe, is the most important thing. Ultimately, it is the opinion of people that matters.

Highlighting the reforms undertaken by his government, Chief Minister Jagan stated, "Schools have been upgraded." From the third grade onwards, children are taught TOEFL. Sixth-grade students study in digital classrooms. Eighth-grade students receive tablets. We are following the IB syllabus. By 2035, our children will receive IB certificates. He also mentioned transformations in the health sector and rural development initiatives, such as assigning a secretary to every village, having volunteers for every 60-70 people, and ensuring the delivery of certificates, schemes, and benefits to villages.

CM emphasized that every village now has a clinic, Raithu Bharosa Kendra (RBK), and an English-medium school with a modernized curriculum, which was never the case before. He emphasized massive development in sectors such as agriculture, health, and education, as well as improved governance. The Chief Minister asserted, "You would not believe if someone from the previous government said that a rupee has reached a household without corruption; no one would have believed." The fiscal health of the state is much better than during Chandrababu's regime.

"Today, our manifesto, a two-page document that was released in 2019, has fulfilled 99% of its promises." The manifesto is not only fulfilled but also presented to the people, and we encourage them to evaluate it themselves. The governance model of our party, YSRCP, embodies the credibility we strive for today. Ultimately, it is people's opinions that matter. "That is why I am confident that we will sweep the election this time."

NAIDU DOESN'T HAVE THE GUTS TO FACE ME ALONE!

"The battle for the state is between Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu." They have pitted my sister against me. Chandrababu Naidu has mobilized all these people against Jagan because he is not able to take on Jagan alone. If he is so confident in himself and believes that I am leading a government facing anti-incumbency, then why does he require the support of so many people? Why does he need so many parties? "That fact alone is an example of where he stands and the kind of scheming he is plotting."

The CM also added, "God has bestowed this power on me to serve the downtrodden." My job is to serve the downtrodden.

"CONG WON'T GET 1 VOTE MORE THAN NOTA!"

Dismissing the Congress party's relevance in the state, CM Jagan predicted that they would struggle to secure even a single vote more than the "None of the Above" (NOTA) option on the ballots. When asked if the alliance would impact his vote share, CM Jagan replied, "Mark my words, Congress won't get even one vote more than NOTA." Congress won't get even one more vote. TDP-NDA is a bipolar.

When asked about breaking his record from the previous elections, CM replied, "We will easily exceed the percentage, by God's grace." I firmly believe that democracy is alive in India. The AP CM is confident of a win.

WHY NO CROWD FOR NAIDU'S MEETINGS?

CM Jagan questioned the lack of crowds at Naidu's meetings, stating, "It is an opportunistic alliance." If one were to contest, the manifesto would be the guiding factor. It's about what you've promised and what you've delivered. The same very people printed a pamphlet of Chandrababu Naidu that they delivered to every household. It's the pamphlet I always present at every public meeting. It's about Chandrababu Naidu and the promises he said he's fulfilled. Now, the manifesto includes pictures of alliance partners and a pamphlet. My question is if any of the promises mentioned in these colorful manifestos have been fulfilled, not even one.

He further added, "TDP was swept out of power with such numbers." Out of 175 seats, we won 151, and out of 25 MPs, we secured 22 MPs. The same Chandrababu Naidu is coming up with another manifesto. "There are no crowds for his meetings; they are intimidated by the mass turnouts in YSRCP's public gatherings."

On being asked if Siddham meetings were a panic reaction as termed by the opposition, the CM replied, "I am doing what I need to do as a party." Masses are coming to our meetings. They're scared, not me. Why are so many people attending my meetings instead of theirs? It is they who are scared and panicky, not me.As far as YSRCP is concerned, we have delivered great governance in the past five years. People believe us and that reflects the mass turnouts for our meetings."

"MY SWEARING IN WILL HAPPEN IN VIZAG!"

"We have already decided, that Vizag would be our executive capital. Amaravathi would continue as our legislature capital and Kurnool would be our judiciary capital, there's no confusion in anybody's head. I would be swearing in from Vizag going forward on the fourth of June. Mark my words we will sweep assembly. Keep watching the numbers we will sweep."

The confidence Jagan Mohan Reddy exudes stems from his credibility, a trait that will demolish the opposition and reduce them to a point where they will struggle to remain politically relevant. And that's why YSRCP is certain to sweep the upcoming polls.
