The 125-feet BR Ambedkar statue and Smruthivanam, being constructed with a whopping budget of Rs 400 Crores, are in the final stages of their construction work. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to unveil the statue on the 19th of this month at the Samatha Mahasabha program. It will be open to the public from the 20th of January. According to officials, over 1.25 lakh people are expected to attend the Mahasabha program, which will be followed by a laser show in the evening.
Ahead of the grand inauguration event, YSRCP leaders have visited and checked the progress. YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP and National General Secretary Vijaya Sai Reddy, MP Keshineni Nani, Minister Meruga Nagarjuna, SEAM Tour Coordinator Talashila Raghuram, Municipal Department Special Chief Secretary Y Srilakshmi, MLAs Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, Malladi Vishnu, West Constituency In-charge Asif, East Constituency In-charge Devineni Avinash, NTR District Collector S Delhi Rao, and Police Commissioner Kranti Rana Tata have inspected the site.
Speaking on this occasion, MP Vijayasai Reddy said that the 125-feet statue of Ambedkar will go down in history. Ambedkar Smritivanam has been established by spending more than 400 crores. He mentioned that CM Jagan has initiated a program that will go down in history.
