YSRCP Counters TDP's Why AP Needs Jagan Remark
The main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is desperate to win back the people’s trust. The party’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh has resumed his Yuvagalam padayatra which was suspended soon after party chief N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in the multi-crore skill development scam case on September 9.
The party thinks that Lokesh’s yatra will infuse fresh life into the moribund TDP. However, the TDP’s junior leader has failed to appeal to the masses. As the foot march of Lokesh is proving to be an utter flop show, the party leaders are resorting to distributing money to pull the crowds.
The success of ongoing YSRCP’s Samajika Sadhikara bus yatra is giving jitters to the opposition party. In addition to this, the party’s massive voter outreach programme ‘Why AP needs Jagan?’ is also getting a good response from the people of the state. Unable to stomach the rising popularity of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TDP made a caustic remark against him.
Responding to TDP remarks on X (formerly), the YSRCP asserted the ruling party is going into the people with the development works the government has done during the last four-and-a-half years regime. The YSRCP tweeted that “we’ve got a list of reasons Why AP Needs Jagan?”
It threw gauntlet at the TDP leadership asking it to check the pulse of the state by asking the people ‘if they trust Chandrababu Naidu’ and added hashtags #MoyeMoye #EndOfTDP

The question is if the TDP is ready to accept the challenge. If it does, will the results further erode the motivation of opposition leaders and party cadres?
