YSR Aasara: AP CM YS Jagan To Release Second Tranche On October 7 - Sakshi Post

Minister for Panchayati Raj  Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy announced that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would release the second tranche of YSR Aasara scheme on October 7. He conducted a review meeting with the district collectors, joint collectors, DWMA project directors and other officials on YSR Aasara, YSR Cheyutha and Jagannanna Swachh Sankalpam schemes on Wednesday.

The Minister said that the second installment of YSR Asara would benefit 78,75,599 women self-help groups.

He mentioned that the first installment of Rs 6330.58 crore was paid to 78,08,101 women on September 11 last year and under the second tranche it will be to the tune of Rs 6,470.76 crore. He said that the government has taken steps to repay loans of Rs 25,579 crore to self-help women in four installments. The launch of the YSR Aasara in the districts would be on October 8 and it would be spread over 10 days.

The Chief Minister had kept his word made during the Assembly elections (April 11, 2019) that all the debts in the banks in the name of the self-help groups and societies would be borne by the government. The loans would be paid in four installments and reminded that steps have been taken to repay their loan amount with the first installment being paid last year.

He said the program would be launched in the districts on October 8 by the district in-charge ministers along with MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives. In all constituencies, the second installment of Asara is expected to be paid within 10 days.

The Minister instructed the officials to create awareness about business opportunities and employment avenues to women, and also explain about marketing opportunities and bank loans that can be availed.

He also informed that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch Clean Andhra Pradesh (CLAP) on October 2 at Vijayawada. The programmes under CLAP and Jagananna Swacha Sankalpam would be held for 100 days. Officials were told to involve newly-elected sarpanches, ward members, and MPPs, MPTCs, ZPTCs, and ZP chairpersons in the CLAP programme,  to ensure that the CLAP implementation and Jagananna Swachh Sankalpam was successfully implemented. Peddireddy also instructed that green guards and green ambassadors be appointed for the  Swachh Sankalpam future programmes.  Chief secretary Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, panchayat raj commissioner Girija Shankar, SERP CEO A. Md Imtiaz, Swachchandra corporation MD Sampath Kumar and other officials participated in the review meeting.
