YS Jagan Govt Announces Cash Awards for Top-scoring SSC, Inter Students
Amaravati: Continuing its efforts to make the students of the government-run schools and colleges as ‘global citizens’, the YS Jagan-led government has decided to encourage the toppers in Class X and Intermediate exams through awards and recognition.
The Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said as part of the recognition programme, the Education Department would give cash prizes along with medals and certificates to top three students across Constituency, District and State levels.
Satyanarayana added that the government has recognised a total of 2,831 students at the three administrative levels who have scored the highest marks in the Class 10 and Intermediate exams for giving cash awards.
The Minister further said the education department has considered the top-scoring students from Zilla Parishad High Schools, Government, Municipal, AP Model, BC Residential schools, AP Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, Tribal Welfare Residential, GTW Ashram schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas for giving cash prizes and medals.
