Will Nara Lokesh Appear Before ACB Court?
Nara Lokesh's case involving Red Book threats will be heard in the ACB court today. As per the court's order in this case, the CID has sent notices to Lokesh. The court also expressed its dissatisfaction that Lokesh avoided receiving the notices.
It can be noted that Nara Lokesh made some controversial and questionable remarks during the conclusion of the Yuvagalam pada yatra. He allegedly made contemptuous comments about the court in several interviews on the final day. As a consequence, CID had filed a memo in the ACB court last month. The CID has sought a non-bailable warrant (NBW) to be issued to Lokesh, supported by evidence, in the petition. The court has ordered Lokesh to appear before them and provide an explanation either in person or through a lawyer.
Lokesh participated in several interviews during the Yuvagalam finale. In doing so, he alleged that the CID had filed false cases against his father, Chandrababu Naidu and that the remand was unjust. In the memo, the CID stated that these comments were defamatory to the investigating agency. The court took these comments seriously.
It needs to be seen whether Lokesh will appear before the ACB court today or not.
