Viveka Case: SC to Resume Hearing on Plea Challenging Anticipatory Bail to Avinash Reddy Tomorrow

 - Sakshi Post

New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Monday will resume hearing of a plea seeking the cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy in connection with the case registered against him in the Viveka murder case.

The plea was moved by Dr. Suneetha Narreddy who challenged the anticipatory bail granted to Kadapa MP and sought its cancellation. She had challenged the Telangana High Court’s May 31 order which granted anticipatory bail to Avinash Reddy. The high court had taken up the hearing after the Supreme Court had expressed displeasure over the delay in deciding Avinash Reddy's anticipatory bail petition.

On June 13, the apex court had deferred the hearing on Suneetha’s plea. A vacation bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Ahsanuddin Amanullah did not issue notice on Suneetha's plea seeking the cancellation of anticipatory of Avinash and an extension of time for CBI to complete the probe. The bench observed that it was for the CBI to say that Avinash Reddy was not cooperating in the investigation of the case and it requires more time to complete the probe.
