  • Funds should be allocated for the establishment of a Central University and Petroleum University in Andhra Pradesh.

  • There are demands for setting up more industrial wards in the state.
  • Allocations should be made to Singareni, IIT Hyderabad, and the Manuguru Kota Bhara water plants in Telangana.

Expectations from the Union Budget 2024 for both states:

  • Tribal universities should be established in both states.
  • Rs. 6,835 crores should be allocated for the establishment of 22 AIIMS hospitals in the country, including Mangalagiri and Bibinagar.
  • More museums should be set up in both states.
  • The share of central taxes should be increased.
  • Both states should have full 5G connectivity.
  • The issuance of a unified card (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter, EPF, Ration card replaced by a single card) is expected.
  • Duty on petrol and diesel prices should be reduced.
  • The maximum savings limit for senior citizens should be doubled.
  • Allocations for the PM Awas Yojana should be increased to provide shelter to economically backward urban areas.
  • The urban infrastructure development fund should be increased for second and third-tier cities.
  • More tax concessions for employees should be provided.
  • Start-ups should be given incentives.
  • Allocations for rural roads should be increased in the Telugu states.
