TDP MLA Candidate’s Audio Leak Creates Ripples in TDP
Nellore: Weeks before elections in Andhra Pradesh, an audio recording of TDP leader Vemireddy Prasanthi Reddy is creating ripples in the political circles in Nellore district. This audio clip has been leaked even as opposition leaders are expressing concern that their party is no match for the YSRCP in the upcoming elections. The TDP has named Prasanthi Reddy as its party candidate for the Kovur Assembly constituency.
Recently, Prasanthi Reddy made a phone call to Nallapureddi Rajendranath Reddy, who is the brother of Kovur YSRCP MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy. In her phone call, she made derogatory comments against her own party leaders. She also called Rajendranath several times, attempting to drive a wedge between Prasanna Kumar Reddy and Rajendranath Reddy.
During the call, Prasanthi Reddy urged Rajendranath to join the TDP while offering him three crore rupees if he chooses to take up the party membership. She stated that since the TDP does not have any strong candidates, the party leadership has asked her to contest from the Kovvur seat. She also stated that the TDP candidates will stand to lose the elections in many constituencies.
