TDP and Jana Sena cadres jittery over seat-sharing and CM Jagan's confidence
The TDP and Jana Sena parties have stitched an alliance to take on the mighty CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP in the upcoming general elections in 2024. On one side, CM Jagan has finalized the in-charges for the majority of the Assembly and Parliament constituencies who are most likely to be the party's candidates for the sounded poll bugle. With Siddham events, CM Jagan is going all out to take on the opposition. He publicly announced that he is ready for the polls.
On the other side, TDP and Jana Sena are clueless about seat-sharing. While TDP announced candidates for Araku and Mandapeta Assembly constituencies without informing Jana Sena, it has hurt Pawan Kalyan. In a tit-for-tat, Pawan also announced candidates for Razole and Rajanagaram Assembly seats. Thus, the fissures in the TDP and Jana Sena alliance are quite evident.
The cadres of TDP are quite unhappy with Pawan announcing Razole and Rajanagaram constituencies. Several local TDP leaders are not able to digest the fact that Jana Sena is calling the shots unilaterally in their respective constituencies. On the other hand, Jana Sena party workers are also disappointed with TDP finalizing candidates for Araku and Mandapeta.
Initially, TDP was confident that the alliance with Jana Sena would work for it. Now, Chandrababu Naidu and several TDP leaders are jittery as the cadres may not support one another. TDP is getting weaker with each passing day. CM Jagan is showing his clear dominance and confidence leaving the cadres of opposition parties in dilemma. TDP and Jana Sena are yet to finalise seat-sharing and candidates who have to start their campaign on the ground. Most important is the transfer of votes between allies and their cadres. All these factors are pulling the TDP behind.
