Why is Nara Lokesh Absent? Is He Not on Talking Terms with Pawan Kalyan?
As ruling YSRCP is gearing up for the simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the state, the opposition TDP-Janasena alliance held two crucial meetings to discuss its election strategy and candidates list, however, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh was conspicuous by his absence in the meetings.
Lokesh's; absence from the party meetings has sparked a discussion among the members of both the parties. He skipped the recent meeting of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan which was called to discuss the roadmap for joint election campaign and announce the list of candidates for the upcoming polls. Again, Lokesh was not found on the stage of ‘Jenda’ public meeting of TDP and Janasena at Tadepalligudem on Wednesday.
Pawan Kalyan attended the Lokesh-led Yuvagalam yatra in Bhogapuram while the latter stayed away from TDP-Janasena alliance’s Tadepalligudem public meeting. The disappearing act of Lokesh at the party events has raised several questions. Is he too busy to attend his own party meetings?
It is speculated that Lokesh is not happy with the importance being given to Pawan Kalyan by his father. It is also said that he was not in favour of stitching an alliance with Jana Sena. Recently, while giving an interview to a TV channel, Lokesh ruled out the possibility of sharing power with the Jana Sena party. He said if TDP comes to power, Chandrababu Naidu will be the chief minister for the full term.
Lokesh’s attitude towards Pawan Kalyan has irked janasiniks because the TDP leader is not taking their leader seriously. It is said Lokesh is not seeing Pawan Kalyan as an opposition party leader but only as an actor.
