Posani Fires on Chiru & Pawan Kalyan
Tadepalli: Praising the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for successfully executing all the welfare schemes, APFDC Chairman Posani Krishna Murali said the the YSRCP government deposited a whopping Rs. 2.70 lakh crore into the bank accounts of beneficiaries without any hint of corruption or discrimination during the last 59 months.
Addressing a press conference in Tadepalli on Wednesday, Posani said these welfare schemes have proved beneficial as it is bringing positive changes in the lives of the people. He hit back at the critics for finding fault with the DBT scheme and asked, “Don;t we see the haves helping the have-nots in our society? What’s wrong if the government does the same?” He urged the detractors to stop misleading people about the welfare schemes of the current dispensation.
Targeting the previous TDP regime, Posani remarked the Andhra Pradesh state incurred a huge revenue deficit during Chandrabab Naidu’s rule in the state. The opposition leader also promised the women voters that he would redeem the gold pledged by them in the banks if he returned to power in the 2014 elections, he said.
Turning his ire at the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party, Posani said Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party (before merging with Congress) won 18 seats out of 294 assembly seats during 2019 Assembly elections, however, the party and its leadership failed to discuss and address the people’s problems in the State Assembly. He added how can the Megastar ask people to vote for his brother’s Jana Sena Party in the May 13 elections? He wondered that “politically retired” Chiranjeevi is now canvassing for his brother.
