Sharmila founded the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) in 2021. Barely two years later, she merged it with the Congress party. Three months ahead of the elections, she ventures into AP politics and openly vents her anger and frustration against CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the ruling YSRCP. Here are the pertinent questions for Sharmila "Reddy" (with emphasis on 'Reddy' since Sharmila is repeating it so often and loudly). She must answer them for the public and YSR's die-hard fans.
The Congress is the party that unilaterally divided the state of Andhra Pradesh for its political gains back in 2014. However, the people of the Telugu states - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh - rejected Congress's cunning and divisive politics. The Congress's gross injustice to the people of AP is still fresh in their memories.
The grand old party did not accord the Special Category Status for AP during the bifurcation. The party responsible for the "decimation" of Andhra Pradesh is now being supported by you, Sharmila. You should first take note of this before taking potshots and crying foul in the media.
Why aren't you questioning your bosses Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi about not according to and not fighting for the Special Category Status and other benefits for AP that got a raw deal during bifurcation?
Even Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has her husband's surname as her second name. Why are you not following suit? What can you learn from Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra?
Dear Sharmila, what is your goal in entering AP politics three months before the elections? Why should the people of AP even consider the Congress party, let alone cast their votes for it?
Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, one of the most favourite and popular Chief Ministers, had indeed vouched for the welfare of people and social justice. When CM YS Jagan is working for the same cause and benefiting people of all ages, why are you not able to appreciate it? If not appreciation, at least acknowledge it. YS Jagan proved to be the only scion to carry forward YSR's legacy, and the same was accepted by the people of AP.
How should the people of AP view you and your confusing politics? So far, you had claimed you would stand by the people of Telangana, and now you have switched your preferences and loyalties, claiming it is for the people of AP. The moot question is whether you are believable and trustworthy to the AP people, as acceptance is too far away.
