Pawan Kalyan in Bhimavaram: Will he? Won’t he?

 - Sakshi Post

As the stage is set for Assembly elections in March or April, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has not declared his constituency yet. He was about to embark on a three-day tour of Godavari districts from Wednesday, however, it was postponed as the police denied permission for landing of his helicopter in Bhimavaram due to safety reasons.

Jana Sena leader was scheduled to participate in various programmes in Amalapuram, Kakinada, Bhimavaram and Rajahmundry. The party will likely reschedule his public meetings. Pawan Kalyan had contested from Bhimavaram constituency in West Godavari district and Gajuwaka constituency in Visakhapatnam district in the 2019 Assembly elections. However, the electoral debut turned out to be disastrous. He was defeated by the YSRCP candidates in both the constituencies.

He is reportedly planning to test his electoral fortunes from the Bhimavaram segment again. However, there’s been no confirmation on this yet. It is also said this time the actor-turned-politician would replace the Gajuwaka constituency with Tirupati seat.

Meanwhile, Nagababu, the elder brother of Jana Sena leader, is keen on contesting the upcoming Assembly elections from Anakapalli seat. As part of his preparation for the forthcoming elections, Nagababu is holding meetings with the activists in Visakhapatnam. He is also conducting meetings with the leaders from Kapu community, businessmen and industrialists.
