Pawan, Is Jana Sena Born For Lokesh?

Guntur: Water Resources Minister and senior YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu dismissed the 3,312-km long Yuva Galam padyatra of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national General Secretary Nara Lokesh as one big utter flop show.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Rambabu questioned the purpose for undertaking the footmarch and asked what did the party gain from it. He also deplored the Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan for not questioning the Chandrababu Naidu-led regime in the past. He said Pawan, who has always criticised Lokesh, is now being seen with them on the political stage,
The TDP held a public meeting at Polipalli in Vizianagaram district on Wednesday to mark the conclusion of Lokesh’s padayatra and Pawan Kalyan was seen sharing the dais with Naidu.
Launching a broadside against the Jana Sena chief, the YSRCP leader said Pawan wouldn’t have attended the TDP rally if it was not for the ‘package’ deal. He also targeted the TDP saying the opposition party is banking on Jana Sena to boost the electoral strength of Lokesh. He added that fearing a humiliating defeat in the forthcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu is announcing freebies to woo the voters.
Commenting on the TDP’s public meeting, Rambabu said the party widely promoted the concluding ceremony and claims were made that over six lakh people were expected to attend the event. He advised the TDP-JanaSena combine to analyse why the people left the venue while the programme was still under session. It was also claimed that both Naidu and Pawan came together on the dais after 10 years. I would like to ask when the duo parted ways, the YSRCP minister asked.
Ambati Rambabu expressed anger at Pawan Kalyan for equating the Lokesh’s footmarch with chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s historic Praja Sankalpa yatra and for making light of it. He criticised the Jana Sena chief for his ignorance about the yatra and said unlike the TDP leader, YS Jagan was accorded a warm welcome by the people of the Telugu state.
The YSRCP minister said the TDP public meeting saw four stalwarts Naidu, his son Lokesh, relative Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan on the same stage which implies they fear YS Jagan juggernaut will crush their parties in the upcoming elections. He added that almost every pollster has said that over 50-60 percent voters want to see Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister again. He also exuded confidence that the YSRCP will register a landslide victory by winning all the 175 seats in the ensuing elections.
