Pawan Gets 'Tough' Candidate in Pithapuram, RGV Announces Contest!

 - Sakshi Post

Famous Indian filmmaker, Ram Gopal Varma has announced his intention to contest in the upcoming elections from the Pithapuram constituency. RGV's announcement comes minutes after Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan declared his decision to contest from the same constituency.

Varma made his announcement via a tweet, expressing his desire to contest from Pithapuram. "SUDDEN DECISION..Am HAPPY to inform that I am CONTESTING from PITHAPURAM ," he wrote on X.

RGV's tweet is viewed as a satire as Varma and Kalyan have been embroiled in a public rivalry marked by heated exchanges and personal attacks. Varma's criticism of Kalyan, including comments about Kalyan's personal life has sparked a strong response from the actor who questioned Varma's credibility due to his alleged collection of pornographic material. This clash extended to social issues like the fight for a Special Category status for Andhra Pradesh. Varma initially praised Kalyan for his activism but later criticized him for not being physically present at a protest.

The tension between the two spilled over to fans with incidents of violence reported, such as Pawan Kalyan's fans attacking a TV anchor for rating a movie negatively and an attack on Varma's office by Kalyan's supporters. Neither Varma or Kalyan have publcily declared an end to their rivalry and RGV's latest tweet only adds fuel to the fire.
