NTR District: 6 Students Washed Away In Krishna River At Ferry Ghat; 5 Saved, 1 Missing

NTR District: Six students were washed away in the Krishna River at Ferry Ghat near Ibrahimpatnam of NTR district on Thursday. Going into the details, six students went to the Ferry Ghat on Thursday evening for a swim in the river.  All of them washed away in the Krishna Waters as there was heavy inflows in the Krishna River from upstream.

The locals and the Ferry Ghat officials who heard the screams of the students rushed to Ferry Ghat and saved five students and managed to  bring them to the shore. Rescue operations are on to trace the sixth student. The officials suspect that the heavy currents might have swept away the student. Meanwhile, family members of the missing student are inconsolable and hoping for his safe return.

All the students are studying in the Zilla Parishad school and they belong to B Colony of Kondapally.
