Landslide Victory Proof of People’s Trust in AP CM: Sajjala
Amaravati: Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the two-year governance of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy paved way for triumphant victory in the ZPTC and MPTC polls and thanked the people for their trust in YSRCP and giving yet another thumping mandate.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that their responsibility has been increased with the back-to-back victories in local body elections, stating that people have proved once again that good governance will lead to victories.
He said that it was a landslide for YSRCP in ZPTC polls by securing over 98 percent of the seats and all these results clearly portray the people's faith in the YSRCP government. He said that the party created a history by securing over 62,000 votes in both ZPTC and MPTC polls in TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's constituency Kuppam and added that Naidu owes an explanation to his people.
He slammed TDP leaders for propagating that they didn’t participate in the elections and said that the opposition has been insulting the democratic process which was conducted in a free and fair manner. Sajjala stated that the TDP leaders have contested, campaigned in the polls and with the defeat at hand they are trying to mock the YSRCP leaders.
Further, he said that YSRCP is capable of winning any election in a fair manner as people have put their trust in Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who took welfare to the doorstep of the beneficiary irrespective of castes, religions or parties. He was incensed that conspiracies had been hatched to obstruct the democratic process by the opposition leader Chandrababu and former SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh.
Sajjala stated that the local body elections were to be held during Chandrababu's reign in 2018, but fearing defeat Naidu had been postponing the elections and went ahead in making them hard by approaching courts and filing cases against the government for. He said that the election process which began in 2020 has come to an end on September 19, 2021, because of conspiracies led by Chandrababu Naidu. Despite all these hurdles YSRCP has bagged massive wins in all the polls as people have refused to believe Naidu. He said that people have blessed YSRCP with over 85 percent vote share in these elections, teaching a lesson to TDP leaders.
