Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Scheme: Students Uniform Gets Makeover

Amaravati: Through welfare schemes like Nadu-Nedu and Jaganna Vidya Kanuka, the YS Jagan government is trying to develop the government schools at par with corporate schools. 

Continuing its efforts, the state government under Jagananna Vidya Kanuka scheme, is providing kits to students from Class 1 to Class 10 containing 3 pairs of uniform cloths, set of notebooks, workbooks, and textbooks, pair of shoes, 2 pair of socks, belt and a school bag.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will distribute the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kits to over 43 lakh students (Class 1 to 10) in Palnadu district on Monday. He will be distributing the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kits to the students for the fourth consecutive year. The government has allocated Rs 1,042.53 crore for the scheme.

Following feedback over the uniform cloth from various, the government has taken corrective measures. Starting 2023-24 academic year, students will be given quality and more bright coloured uniforms. 

The Jagananna Vidya Kanuka scheme is one of the flagship schemes of the YS Jagan government.  The government has also implemented other schemes such as Jagananna Amma Vodi, Jagananna Gorumuddulu, and Jagananna Vasathi Deevi for the students.
